Fissure

For me, a fissure signifies an opening; a sign of wounds that never fully heal. Wounds that, at different times and moments, reopen. No matter how much effort is made to repair this fissure, the wound may appear healed, yet it opens again. The trace of blood always remains, even as one repeatedly attempts to wipe it away. The blood used in this video is my own, presented as a direct presence of the creator’s body within the work.
